OOREDOO RIDE OF CHAMPIONS POSTPONED TO NOVEMBER 2020
Qatar Cyclists Centre has rescheduled the Education City event to November 13th, 2020
In light of the worldwide coronavirus outbreak and with the safety of volunteers, athletes, and the general public in mind, the Ooredoo Ride of Champions, which was due to take place at Education City on March 13, 2020, has been postponed.
Organizers have confirmed that the event has been rescheduled for November 13, 2020.
“While we are naturally disappointed to have to postpone this event, the safety of participants, stakeholders, and the general public is of paramount importance,” said Dr. Abdulazziz Al Kuwari, president of the Qatar Cyclist Centre.
“With the global COVID-19 situation continually evolving, this is the responsible decision to take in the interests of public health and wellbeing.
“We and our partners look forward to a great Ooredoo Ride of Champions in November.”
Competitors who have paid their entry fee will be automatically entered for the event on its rescheduled date. Participants, unable to participate on the new date and seeking a refund are asked to email email info@rocdoha.qa by April 1.
Once all requests are received by the event, the event team, will email those people who have requested a refund as they are unable to participate on the new event date with details on how to proceed with the refund and get it processed on April 2 nd . Individuals will need to provide evidence such as copies of travel tickets, or document verifying they won’t be able to attend the as proof. Alternatively, competitors will be allowed to transfer their entries to other individuals.
